  • Scouts Worship is a pocket sized booklet of materials that can be used in a variety of worship settings. They are available through the Boy Scouts of America Council Service Centers. You may find a few at your local council. It was written by Pastor Leo Symmank. The second publishing was completed in 1999 with financial support from Lutheran Brotherhood.

  • Scouting for Lutheran Youth Fact Sheet, outlines the relationship of the Lutheran Church, BSA and NLAS. The youth and adult awards are also reviewed. Ask for item 2-520A
  • BSA Religious Emblems Programs web page with links to FAQs, How to Get Started and chart of Religious Emblems Programs
  • A Scout is Reverent booklet is a resource for Scout Sunday observance in Protestant and other churches. There is a service outlined with songs and readings. Ask for item 5-961
  • A Scout is Reverent poster that shows all the religious awards that are available. The back side contains information on the individual awards. This is very colorful. Ask for item 5-206c or later.
  • A Scout is Reverent- Scout Sunday Service
  • It Works for Your Youth is an 8 minute video developed in 1999 by relationships to be used to encourage churches to sponsor new units.
  • Training the Chartered Organization Representative course
  •  BSA has a new "Summertime Opportunity As A Scout Camp Chaplain" trifold, bin number 05-214.
  • BSA has developed a new video "Bringing Youth to Christ Through A Scouting Ministry" and provided it to BSA District Execs along with a trifold to support.
  • A RED team (Religious Emblem Display) manual has been developed by PRAY and approved by BSA and is going out to Councils. It is bin number 05-921 More information is available at the PRAY web site.

From PRAY, the following are available:
  • A new video Promoting Duty to God (Religious Emblems). It is for Scouters and will be distributed by BSA to promote religious emblems. It is an interfaith video which can be used in presentations to units (Cubs, Boy Scouts, Venturers) at roundtables or at training events like Pow Wows or University of Scouting events. See Prays' supporting materials for those presentations as well. 
  • Materials on all the Religious emblems plus adult awards. Check the PRAY web site.
  • A RED team (Religious Emblem Display) manual has been developed by PRAY and approved by BSA and distributed to Councils. See ordering information from BSA above. More information is available the PRAY web site.
From GSUSA
  • Issues for Girl Scouts is a resource to help girls to make positive choices. It is available through your local GSUSA Council
  • GSUSA has a full color poster of all of the religious awards that are available, CSP #40707. This poster was featured in the Spring 2000 Leader for Adults in girl Scouting.
  • A brochure is a reference chart for the above poster and tells how to get the materials for each award plus Frequently Asked Questions., CSP #40706

  • Religious Collaborations Tool Kit is available from local Camp Fire Council Offices provides resources to strengthen Camp Fire relationships with religious organizations.

  • There is also a Youth Ministry E-Bulletin that you can subscribe to by going to the Youth page, select Network and finally the E-Bulletin subscribe button or go directly with this link. Past issues of the E-Bulletin are available at the site in pdf format.
