LSAM Activity

The Lutheran Scouters Association of Maryland held its 7th annual recognition event on January 8th, for Scouts who received their religious emblems during 1999. A total of 32 people attended, including 6 Girl Scouts and 1 Boy Scout, and their families. About twice this many Scouts received their emblems but only 7 could make it -partly because some come from throughout Maryland.

Eight members of LSAM treated the children to a pizza, soda, and cookie lunch after a brief ceremony at which they were presented special certificates and a paper back Bible Quiz and trivia book. Following this, they moved to the shops of a taxidermist, who demonstrated the craft of mounting animals, which was very interesting and educational for the kids and their families.
